How to plan a bachelorette party?
Before getting married and saying your vows to your beloved one, there is a non-written tradition to celebrate it for the last time being independent. For women, their girlfriends are the planners of this event.
It does not mean that a bachelorette party must have naked men dancing around the pole or doing alcohol shots of the bodies of bridesmaids. However, not every bachelorette wants a quiet tea party too. It is a whole planning process thinking about details to meet everyone’s needs. There should be a balance between ‘catching-up’ and ‘crazy night’ parties. If your best friend is getting married, then you might read this quick guide of how to plan a bachelorette party and what to think about.
Chat with the bride
To start off with good planning, you should first ask the bride what she prefers and expects from a party. It is her party before changing her last name, you have to make it as special as she can get! Question her about her hopes of a party, if she has any restrictions or special requirements and a specific date she would not mind. As we said, the party is for her – make it exciting!
Decide on a theme
The main fun thing about the party is a theme. It does not matter if it is just a colour or some mask theme. After deciding on a theme, the whole party planning process becomes a bit easier – activities or décor of it can be decided regarding a theme. You can check the internet for any ideas, there are plenty of them in bachelorette themed website blogs.
Make up a timeline
To make a checklist of what needs to be done and taken care of before the actual party is a priority. It then can be printed and at any time you can add necessary tasks on it.
If you are planning to go out on a bachelorette night to a club, any show, restaurant or maybe you decide on renting a villa, you must make reservations in advance to the favourite places. Make sure to let them know that you are organizing a bachelorette party, they might offer you good deals on drinks and any special packages they have.
Deliver the invitations
To make it a little bit more surprising and fancier, prepare the invitations and send them out to people who are close to the bride. You can make your own invitation’s design or look up for a template which you can edit by your choice.
Collect money from people who will be attending the party, it does not matter if you are the main bridesmaid. You do not have to pay all for everything, ask other bridesmaids to put money for the sake of the bride’s special day. Do not forget to ask them money up front, then there would be no problems if someone would decide last minute not to attend.
Prepare decorations and goody bags
It is your choice to decide what you are going to do about the decorations and all the girly fun stuff you will be putting on the walls or maybe funny hats (except the bride asked for something different!). Before the fun stuff begins, you can buy some goodies and make a goody bag for every attendee.
